EFFECT OF SEEDLING AGE AND SEEDLING NUMBER PER HILL ON YIELD AND YIELD ATTRIBUTES OF TRANSPLANTED AMAN RICE (BR23)

چکیده

The effect of seedling age and number per hill on yield contributing characters Transplant Aman rice in Khulna region was investigated from July to December 2002.The treatments included the experiment consisted 4 (viz.15, 25, 35 45 day old seedling) 5 hill-1 (viz. 1, 2, 3, 5). It found that 25 produced tallest plant (118.87 cm), highest total tiller (33.02), effective (30.37), longest panicle length (25.85 grain panicle-1 (154.33), (5.14 t ha-1) harvest index (43.28). Number seedlings had significant height, tillers hill-1, grains panicle-1, 1000 weight, index. (34.25), (32.11), (161.72), (5.19 (45.72%) were when two planted hill-1. value for weight (23.67g) recorded one evident with showed better performance respect growth rice.
